Swimming Pond/Water Toys

We have a 1 acre swimming pond for you to enjoy all to yourself! Please enter and exit the pond at the sandy “beach area.”

It features a shaded picnic area and a shed FULL of floaties, SUPs, kayaks and more!

We also have a bluetooth stereo speaker for your use in the pond shed- please keep this speaker at the pond. If you need to charge the speaker, you may do so in the cabin but it must be returned to the pond shed before you leave. (The cabin has its own speaker).

There are 8 beach towels in the laundry room for you to use at the Camp7 pond. Please hang wet towels up on the provided hooks outside of the cabin next to the grill after your visit to the pond.

*If you take any vehicles to the pond, please be sure to park in designated spots to the right of the volleyball net*

Athletic Field

The shed at the athletic field holds a variety of sports equipment. Don’t forget to pack a lunch before heading over, we have shaded picnic tables for your outing.

Try your hand at the gaga ball pit or set up for a game of soccer, football, kickball, bocce ball, etc..

Hiking

There are many hiking trails located in and around the property including the adjacent BLM land east of the Camp7 property.

A good hike to start out with is the Kimball Creek Trail which is about 10 minutes from camp. This hike is open to hiking, horseback, mountain bike, and OHVs less than 50″ in width. Check out this link for further information, as this trail is not on AllTrails.

The Grand Mesa has a plethora of awesome hiking trails. You can find a list of them on the app AllTrails, but here are a few of our favorites:

Crag Crest Trail – 10.3mi (Moderate)

Mesa Lakes Trail – 2.8mi (Easy)

Lost Lake Trail – 3.5mi (Easy)

West Bench Trail – 12.2mi (Easy)

Cottonwood Lakes via Trail #712, #2507 and Bull Basin Trail – 16.6mi (Moderate)

Apps we suggest for your adventures:

  • AllTrails – find local hiking/biking/4×4/Backpacking trails
  • PictureThis – identify local flora/fauna
  • PictureBird – identify local birds
  • Peak – identify the nearby mountain ranges
  • Seek – identify plants and animals

Slip ‘N Slide

The Camp7 slip ‘n slide is our version of a fun backyard water slide and is the perfect activity for a hot summer day! The slip n slide is located behind the shed at the athletic field and the soap to make it really slippery is on the shelf in the shed.

Beach Volleyball

Set, bump, spike!

We have beach volleyball set up at the pond. You will find volleyballs in the pond shed.

*If you take any vehicles to the pond, please be sure to park in designated spots to the right of the volleyball net*

Slacklines

Find your balance with our two slacklines, located just below the archery range in the woods and at the “round.”

Horseshoes

Horseshoe pit is coming Spring of 2023! Yeehaw!

Campfires

The best way to wind down at night is to sit by the fire. We have a designated fire pit in “the round” that you may use. We will make sure you are stocked with firewood before your stay!

We are no strangers to fire bans out here so if there is a fire ban during your stay, we will ask that you not have a fire.

*If you are renting the camping tepees in addition to the cabin, you may use the firepit at the camping tepee site for your campfires.
